1. Scrap steel shearing machine:

In the scrap steel processing industry, the shearing machine is mainly used to shear the scrap steel raw materials into qualified materials that meet the procurement requirements of the steel plant. There are roughly two common types: alligator shearing machine and gantry shearing machine (hereinafter referred to as alligator shearing machine and gantry shearing machine).

Both the alligator shearing machine and the gantry shearing machine are composed of a shearing mechanism, a pressing mechanism, and a transmission device. It can also be divided into two parts: a mechanical part and a hydraulic part.

2. Working principle:

The hydraulic transmission device is driven by an electric motor (a diesel engine can be used as a power source in places without power supply), and the hydraulic transmission device drives the pressing mechanism and the shearing mechanism to achieve the purpose of cutting the steel plate.

Generally speaking, the shearing mouth of the steel plate shearing machine consists of two upper and lower blades, the lower blade is mostly a fixed blade, and the upper blade is a movable blade. When the scrap steel enters the blade, the pressing device presses down to fix the scrap steel, and then the upper blade moves downward to cut the scrap steel. After cutting, the upper blade and the pressing mechanism return to the original position to wait for the next shearing process, and so on.

3. Shearing frequency: The movement of the alligator scissors blade is similar to that of a lever. The longer the blade is, the larger the opening is, and the longer the time it takes for a shearing process to take place. Therefore, the shearing frequency of the machine with greater shearing force is relatively lower in the data. The movement of the gantry scissors blade is straight up and down, and the opening size has no direct relationship with the length of the blade, so there is basically no big difference in the shearing frequency of gantry shears with different shearing forces.

4. Floor space

The size of the alligator shear is generally 2-3 meters long, more than 1 meter wide, and more than 1.5 meters high, covering an area about 2-3 square meters.

The gantry shearing material box is 3-10 meters long and 1.2-2 meters wide. The height of the material box is about 1.2 meters, and the shearing mechanism is close to 3 meters at its highest. The material box plus the shearing mechanism covers an area of ​​about 23 square meters. With the complex power transmission system, the area is about 50 square meters. In addition, due to the high processing efficiency and the rapid accumulation of qualified materials after processing, it is generally chosen to dig a material pool under the discharge port, and the area is basically more than 10 square meters.

5. Recommendation on applicable scale:

The selection point between alligator shears and gantry shears lies in the processing volume. For example, the minimum processing capacity of gantry shears is 4t/hour, and the processing volume is 40t in 10 hours a day, and the monthly processing volume is more than 1200t. For those with a higher receiving volume, gantry shears can be considered, and for those with a lower receiving volume, alligator shears are more suitable.

The specific size of one of the two depends on the processable thickness, because the pressure of the machine model ultimately determines the thickness of the shearable material. For example, a 200-ton alligator shear can shear 20 mm thick, and a 315-ton alligator shear can shear 30 mm thick. But it should be noted that it does not mean that 315 pressure is processing 30 thick materials. In actual processing, basically 2-15 mm thick materials are sheared. This is why the most alligator shears on the market are the three pressure models of 200, 250, and 315; the gantry shears are mostly the three pressure models of 500, 630, and 800.
